New Maskedman painting on board - Controlled Substances -

  This piece has just been finished and added to my store...Titled "Controlled Substances"  featuring The Maskedman..This is an original painted onto a reclaimed board..

 The background is 100% spraypaint.and overlaps into the character.. I called this piece "Controlled Substance" because it has tags,splats,neat lines,fades, drips, scrapes and loads of interesting controlled mess and textures..The character is wired up to the paint he uses, as if he abuses the substances..
I drew the character straight up in paint pen with no errors or marking out.. 100% freestyled!

HMQ CUSTOMS now available from fugi.me

   I'm a little late in posting about this, but better late than never.. Last week saw the final steps to an exhibition I was involved in, which was put together and organised by Daniel Perry.. The HEAVY METAL QEE project was a collection of 30 artists, each given a Qee platform to customise into their own interpretation of Heavy Metal...Unfortunately I couldn't attend the show, which was at Forbidden Planet London, but there are plenty of photographs and a video to check out in the HMQ gallery.. It looked like a really good night and a huge success!! See for yourself!

   All customs created for this event are being sold, and proceeds raised will be given to the Garden House Hospice.. To get your hands on one of these 30 customs, and to give to a charity at the same time, head on over to FUGI.ME..  

    Dan also made a really nice book dedicated to the HMQ show, which you can get at FUGI.ME.  Only 100 printed, so head over there quick and grab one.They are 64 pages deep, each artist has their own spread, with pictures and information about their customs...The books look amazing! and I can't wait to get mine..    HEAVY METAL MICKQEE was the custom I made..Based on Iron Maiden's Eddie and Disney's Mickey Mouse, both of which I liked as a kid..He is up for grabs for £120.00 from the fugi.me store . with the rest of the HMQ gang..

Rusty Rooz defaced munny custom

   This Rusty Rooz was painted with spraypaint and acrylics after adding textures.I did this by melting a nozzle over him, scuffing him up and cutting him until he had the worn look I wanted.
   He comes with the canvas, which like my other similar customs before him " the abandonned munny" and "the derelict rooz" illustrate a point about graffiti.. In the right environment and setting, a rusty vandalised surface seems more acceptable to some than this being on a building or public space..
   This little guy is covered in my tags, some KR tags and the odd kidrobot scrawl..The canvas was given the same treatment and the Rooz, with added texture and tags, he almost looks camouflaged when stood in front of it...

This custom has been added to my store on a 7 day auction, starting at just 99p.. I find it interesting to see how many people like this sort of graffiti. Although not as appealing as the more artistic side of our artform, it is still important, and is the foundation for all graffiti artists.. This side of graffiti isn't for everyone! Wildstyle not Childstyle - New piece in store!

Some of you may have seen photographs of this in progress on my Twitter feed.. It's now finally finished and has just been added to my STORE..Priced at £89 + postage, (although close offers may be accepted) This was painted on a wooden board with spraypaints and paint markers.. This piece is ready to hang and is signed..It reads "HOEKS" and was freestyled as I went along..

DEF JAM and HIEROGLYPHICS CUSTOM HOODIES

  I've just finished off these two "Hoodies"  figures which were originaly designed by the creator of the Boondocks, Carl Jones..I found these blanks in a local shop and bought all 5..The first WU TANG one is now on his way to Australia..

 These figures are 12cm tall.. And have just been added to my STORE for £26.99 each plus postage..

ADDICTED TO GRAFFITI CUSTOM TRUCK

I painted this a few weeks ago.. It was a toy truck, after adding some damage and texture I gave it a base coat and then added some letters.. One side reads HOAKSER obviously, the other reads "addicted to GRAFFITI".. The lettering is a blingy chrome, with white highlights and 2nd outline.. toned down with rust and dirt..

Knackered...Custom Kidrobot Trikky

My latest custom "Knackered" has been painted with acrylics. This little Kidrobot Trikky has seen better days..He's falling apart,and very unhappy.. only held together by stiches and looking for a good home..
